IM Harry Golombek
Harry Golombek was a British chess player, author, and wartime codebreaker who was appointed OBE. He won the British chess championship three times in 1947, 1949, and 1955, narrowly missing a fourth with his second-place finish in 1948. His contributions to chess literature and his service as a codebreaker gave him a legacy that extended well beyond the sixty-four squares.
