Egyptian Grandmaster Ahmed Adly made history in 2005 by becoming both the first Egyptian and the youngest African ever to earn the GM title. A chess prodigy who obtained the International Master title at just 14, Adly has risen to hold one of the highest ratings on the African continent. He is a specialist in the King's Indian Defence systems.
