GM Larry Evans
Larry Evans was an American Grandmaster, prolific author, and syndicated chess columnist who earned his GM title in 1957. A five-time U.S. Chess Champion and four-time U.S. Open champion, he also penned more than twenty books on the game. His long-running newspaper column helped popularize chess across the United States for decades.
