GM Evgeny Bareev
Soviet UnionEvgeny Bareev is a Russian-Canadian Grandmaster and chess trainer who twice reached a world ranking of fourth, in 1992 and again in 2003 when his rating peaked at 2739. Awarded the GM title in 1989, he became one of the strongest Slav Defence practitioners of his generation. He is also an accomplished chess writer.
