Anthony Santasiere
Anthony Santasiere was an American chess master, writer, and middle school math teacher who won the 1945 U.S. Open Chess Championship. He also claimed four New York State titles and six Marshall Chess Club championships, while competing in four U.S. Chess Championships with a best result of tied third in 1946. His wide-ranging curiosity led him to write extensively on topics beyond chess as well.
