Russian player Ekaterina Kovalevskaya holds the titles of International Master and Woman Grandmaster. She won the Russian Women's Championship in 1994 and 2000, and her runner-up finish at the 2004 Women's World Championship earned her the IM title, marking her as one of Russia's strongest female players of her generation.
