GM Ding Liren
Ding Liren is a Chinese Grandmaster who became the 17th World Chess Champion in 2023, the first from China to hold the title. A three-time Chinese champion, he was instrumental in China's Olympiad gold medals in 2014 and 2018. He broke the 2800 Elo barrier and achieved a peak classical rating of 2816, establishing himself as one of the strongest players of his generation.
