GM Viesturs Meijers
Viesturs Meijers was a Latvian Grandmaster who earned the title in 2004 after a long career that began when he took up chess at age ten. He won the Latvian Championship in 2000 and participated in over 80 international tournaments between 1989 and 2010, leaving a lasting imprint on Latvian chess.
