GM Gideon Ståhlberg
Gideon Stahlberg was a Swedish Grandmaster who received the inaugural International Grandmaster title from FIDE in 1950. A specialist in the French Classical and Queen's Gambit Declined, he was one of Scandinavia's strongest players during the mid-twentieth century.
