GM Miguel Najdorf
Miguel Najdorf was a Polish-born Argentine Grandmaster who settled in South America after World War II prevented his return to Poland. One of the world's leading players throughout the 1940s and 1950s, he is immortalized through the Najdorf Variation of the Sicilian Defence, which remains one of the most popular and deeply analyzed openings in chess history.
