GM Nick de Firmian
Three-time U.S. Chess Champion Nick de Firmian is an American Grandmaster who earned his title in 1985 and claimed national titles in 1987, 1995, and 1998. He is also widely recognized for authoring the 13th, 14th, and 15th editions of Modern Chess Openings, one of the most important opening reference works in chess. His competitive repertoire features the Modern Benoni and various Sicilian lines.
