Frank Marshall
Frank Marshall held the U.S. Chess Championship title for an extraordinary 27 years, from 1909 to 1936. One of the strongest players in the world during the early twentieth century, he was a masterful practitioner of the Queen's Gambit Declined and left a lasting imprint on American chess history.
